Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld & Geluid, Hilversum – Went to the newly reopened Beeld & Geluid museum. After arriving, an old friend saw Mees and came to greet us. Wilma had been our tour guide during a last visit for the depot tour. She was very happy to see Mees and told us about two new depot rooms that were now open. Having just finished a group tour, she offered us a private tour. So Mees got to see the Fabletjes Krant characters (his 2nd time now), which he was very excited about. Then a look into the new depot rooms, one filled with old television and filming equipment and the other with all kinds of old radios. Cool! At the end, Mees got to watch some Fabeltjes Krant on the computer. Then we had a break and chatted with Wilma before heading into the museum. In the museum, Mees did a lot. He watched and listened to different themes on a half globe, created his own newspaper headlines, tried matching expressions to see happiness sadness or anger on the big screen, made his own video advertisements (which he had a blast doing), looked into 3D goggles, learned about making fake news, tried out game designing and programming, and played a large floor game of the floor is lava and other games. As we were getting ready to leave the museum, the song Nine Million Bicycles came on. Mees was laughing. Great finish. Click ‘read more’ for lots of photo’s […]
