Mees bakt pepernoten

Thuis – This morning, Mees got ready for his day and then helped with folding laundry. After this, we made a shopping list together to buy ingredients for baking pepernoten. 😋 We went to the Jumbo in Scherpenzeel, but it had moved. Luckily we found the new building (without the help of Google maps). We made our way through the store looking for the items on our list. The store was a little confusing, but in the end we found everything. Mees did well and (mostly) helped. 😂 He dropped a few things before they made it in the basket and sometimes found more interest in looking at lights instead of groceries. But he did his best! He helped with locating the items, putting them in the basket, checking them off the list and paying for them. Heading back to the bus, we got wet in the rain. 🌧️🙄 Warmed up in the bus as we headed back. The air vents didn’t work at first, so we stopped a few times to dry the windows. Quite an adventure this shopping trip! Back at the logeerhuis, Mees relaxed on the waterbed while groceries were put away. We didn’t get to baking the pepernoten yet, but he will after his break. – Laura Lynne

vanmiddag samen met Mees pepernoten gebakken. Mees vond het erg leuk om de bloem suiker en melk in de beslag kom te doen. ook mocht Mees aan de speculaas poeder ruiken, dit was een erg vreemde geur met een vies gezicht. hierna moest het deeg gekneed worden en mocht Mees met zijn vinger er in voelen oehh bah! hierna was het tijd om pepernoten te gaan maken. en daarna ze in de oven te doen. – Sabine
