Mees has unfinished monkey business

Apenheul in Apeldoorn –  Mees was his cheerful self today! He had lots of laughs with my daughter. They really have fun together!

Mees went to Apenheul today. He had a fun time! The monkeys at the start of the park were curious about Mees and were on the hunt for something on his chair. But they found nothing! They jumped up, looked around, climbed up and down and just relaxed on the chair handle.

Mees noticed, but was still and wasn’t startled when they jumped on him. . He watched the monkeys and found them interesting. After this, Mees saw other types of monkeys as we walked along the path. The ringstaart makkies were super sweet as they had babies, including one with twins. 

Next stop, the playground for a break. It started to rain and we found some cover. Mees tried to explore the maze, but unfortunately the wood chip flooring wasn’t suitable for wheelchairs. We played hide and seek instead. We did get rained on, but luckily it wasn’t too bad. Had some fun acting like monkeys trying to hang from ropes. Saw more monkeys as we finished the walking route.
