Mees goes round and round

Mediamuseum Beeld & Geluid in Hilversum – Went to Beeld & Geluid museum to see and experience the new voorjaarsvakantie exhibit, “Fiera Del Suono: de kermis van geluiden”. Wearing headphones, Mees walked around colorful abstract fairground attractions and listened to different activities going on at the fair. 

This was an immersive sound experience using location-controlled 3D sound technology. He learned about fairs from the past, present and future; and listened to the sounds of artists, circus horses, barrel organs and roller coasters. Inside the circus tent, he heard a fire breather. 

By the carousel, he listened as a child asked his mother for a ride and the mother replied saying how she missed the real horses. And by the roller coaster, he heard tickets being asked for as he danced to the music around him.
