Een hele grote werkplaats

De ontdekhal, Utrecht – Today Mees went to Utrecht to De Ontdekhal where he got to do many activities. First he started out at the green screen. He had a stroll on the beach, enjoyed the view from the top of a mountain, flew in a parachute, had a jungle safari and more. After this, Mees watched a 3D printer make the letter M for his name and then checked out the spinning story boards. Next task, to connect gears to make a bunny come out of a hat. Not as easy as it looked. Then Mees built a wooden car. That was quite a job. Mees used a saw to cut wood and then nailed his pieces together with a hammer. Once the wheels were on, Mees took his car for a spin on the racetrack. It was a success! His car made it all the way down the track on the first go. Then he raced against another car. After several failed attempts, his car finished the race in first place. Wohoo! Moving on, Mees learned how to use a special stryofoam cutting machine to make a balancing flamingo. That was cool! He finished his day playing a ball game using pipes and air. Not as easy as it looks, but fun! Mees was busy being creative at the Ontdekhal, and still there was more to do. Leuke dag! After the outing, Mees relaxed on the mat at my house. He enjoyed the silliness of my kids and listening to stories.
