Birds & Fish Exhibition

Mondriaanhuis, Amersfoort – Went to see the new Vogels en Vissen exhibition. First looked at earlier paintings by Piet Mondriaan of landscapes. Then on to the new exhibits by four artists who studied birds and fish. 25 birds were studied for 1,5 years to create abstract compositions. We tried to figure out which paintings represented which birds. In the fish paintings, schools of fish were shaped like a weaved basket to give the idea of movement. Mees also saw transparent light constructions of fish skin and iron wire. Then Mees watched the film about Piet Mondriaan creating his well-know line paintings with primary colors. Mees really enjoyed this. After this he played with legos on the large Lego wall. Then two more times watching the film before heading downstairs. He saw another film with different paintings displayed and then looked in the recreated Mondriaan rooms. Mees enjoyed the films the most. –

Mees went to the stables for huifbedrijden. Mees found it fantastic and laughed the entire ride. –

Relaxed on the waterbed after his busy morning. Looked at pictures from the museum and made a few silly selfies. After this, Mees sat in his relaxstoel and watched a little Peppa Pig with Merelieke. Then he played with the red ball. –
