Marechausseemuseum

Marechausseemuseum, Buren – Helped with laundry and other tidying up before heading to Buren to visit the Marechausseemuseum. A museum about the oldest police organization in the Netherlands: de Koninklijke Marechaussee. We almost had the museum to ourselves! We walked around and looked at the different rooms such as De Gouden Kamer, Marechaussee van Orange, and Regentenkamer. Mees also got to play around with the motorcycle Kon.Marechaussee. As we explored the museum, we stamped the passport Mees had for the different rooms and things he saw. Then we got busy with some M-lab activities. Since the M-lab was upstairs and the museum has no elevator, the M-lab materials were brought to us. Mees put his fingerprint in his passport and then inspected it with a magnifying glass. After this, Mees dressed up in some of the clothes used by the de Koninklijke Marechaussee. Was informative and fun! Click ‘rad more’ for photo’s. – Laura Lynne
