Birthday Cake and Corn Maze

This morning Mees and Myrthe sang happy birthday to me. 🎶 Sweet! After getting ready for the morning, Mees helped start with the wash. Then we made a birthday strawberry kwarktaart and brownies. Mees helped melt and mix the butter, make a cake crust, and mix the ingredients for the filling. Then in the fridge it went. To eat later! 😋 After this, Mees helped make red velvet brownies. Lots of fun and lots of mess. Mees of course tasted-tested the mixes. He didn’t mind the strawberry, but was not to keen about the red velvet chocolate. After this Mees took a break on the waterbed and listened to stories on his tablet. In the afternoon Mees went to Voorthuizen to the Maisdoolhof and playground. Started with the corn maze. Mees and Myrthe helped decide which direction to go, sometimes leading to a dead end and sometimes the right direction as we looked for boards with answers to our assignment. In the middle, they climbed the stairs and slide down the slide. After finding our way out of the maze, Mees went into an airplane and sat in the cockpit. Then relaxed a little before playing in the corn kernels. Fun! And then some bouncing in the bouncy house. And last, a photo on the tractor.
