Special Olympics

Mees went to a Special Olympics training in Enschede. He participated in different games that had been set up like tennis, slingerbal, katapult, boccia, blikwerpen, autowas, voetbal, and parachute. Mees was not super excited about the games at the start. His favorites were tennis and katapult. After the games, he received his medal. Goed gedaan!

After this Mees went to Hengelo for the opening ceremony of the games. We had a break before it started and then enjoyed pre-show music. The ceremony started with a parade of all the participants marching in. 3000 sporters! The feest continued with speakers, singers and the grand torch lighting. Mees wasn’t that interested in the parade or music, but found the speakers very funny.
